A Vision That Began With Compassion
Clear Vision Lanka was born from witnessing how many people in Sri Lanka struggle to access essential eye care.
What began as small acts of service — helping a child see the blackboard, guiding a patient to a clinic, providing a pair of glasses — revealed a much bigger need.
From Small Acts to a Greater Vision
Every journey begins with a moment. For us, that moment came when we saw how something as simple as a pair of glasses could change a child’s confidence, improve a student’s learning, or help a parent return to work.
Helping even a few people showed us how powerful and life-changing eye care can be. One examination could open doors to education. One referral could restore sight. One act of kindness could restore hope.
These experiences inspired us to think bigger. If so many were still waiting for help, we knew our responsibility was to reach beyond individuals and extend our care to entire schools, villages, and communities. That is how a small idea grew into a movement — a commitment to ensure that no one in Sri Lanka is left behind because they cannot see.

Why Sri Lanka
Across our country, many families face barriers that make eye care hard to reach — the cost of treatment, long distances to clinics, limited specialists, and a lack of awareness about the importance of regular eye care.
Poor vision affects more than sight. It affects education, employability, productivity, and independence. Children may fall behind in school. Adults may struggle to work. Seniors may lose confidence in their daily lives. These challenges are often invisible, but their impact is profound.
We believe every person deserves the chance to see clearly and live life with dignity.

Clear Vision Lanka Foundation was inspired by years of compassion, service, and a deep belief in the power of sight to transform lives. We saw the need, and we answered the call.
This foundation was never about one person — it was about continuing a spirit of service and turning quiet acts of kindness into a sustainable movement for lasting change. It is built on the dedication of volunteers, clinicians, partners, supporters, and communities who share the same belief: that clear vision can open a brighter future.
To us, clear vision means more than eyesight. It means confidence in the classroom, opportunity in the workplace, independence in later years, and dignity in everyday life. It is the foundation for stronger individuals, healthier families, and more resilient communities.

Growing the Movement
Our work begins with eye care. Through eye examinations, prescription spectacles, surgery support, referrals, school screenings, and community outreach, we bring essential services to those who need them most.
