Our work
From Outreach
to Ongoing Eye Care
We connect communities with professional eye care through a trusted clinical and optical network—helping people see clearly today and for years to come.
Clear Vision Lanka Foundation works with Samarasinghe Eye Hospital and Samarasinghe Opticians to deliver eye examinations, spectacles, specialist referrals and sight-restoring treatment to people in need.
From awareness to follow-up care, we walk with every patient on their journey to better vision.
Our Clinical and
Optical Network
Clear Vision Lanka Foundation partners with Samarasinghe, a family-run eye care organisation that has served Sri Lankan communities for generations with compassion, integrity and professional excellence.
Today, their network ensures that people can access the right care at the right time—whether it’s a simple eye test, a pair of glasses, or specialist treatment.

What Is an Eye Camp?
Eye camps are community outreach programmes organised in towns, villages, workplaces, schools and community centres across Sri Lanka.
A team of eye care professionals travels to these locations with portable equipment to provide on-site eye screenings, basic examinations, spectacle services and referrals.
Eye camps bring essential eye care directly to people, especially those who may face barriers such as cost, distance or lack of awareness.
The Complete Patient Journey
Our partnership creates a connected pathway of care—ensuring that every person identified through our programmes receives the support and treatment they need.
1
Community Outreach & Awareness
We raise awareness about eye health and identify individuals who may be living with undiagnosed vision problems.
2
Professional Eye Screening
Qualified eye care professionals conduct screenings and examinations to assess vision and detect possible conditions.
3
Prescription Spectacles
If vision can be corrected with glasses, the correct prescription is determined and spectacles can be provided.
4
Specialist Referral
Patients who may have cataracts or other eye conditions are referred for further evaluation by clinical professionals.
5
Hospital Assessment & Treatment
Through Samarasinghe Eye Hospital or other providers, patients receive specialist consultations, diagnostics and medical treatment.
6
Sight-Restoring Surgery
Where surgery is medically required, we help eligible patients access procedures such as cataract surgery.
7
Follow-Up Care
We ensure patients receive follow-up care and support for the best possible recovery and long-term benefits.
Why We Chose This Partnership
We partnered with Samarasinghe because of their generations of experience, established hospitals and optical locations, qualified professionals and commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
Their ability to provide examinations, spectacles, referrals and surgical treatment—along with continued care after outreach—allows us to create real, lasting impact for the communities we serve.
Clear Vision Lanka Foundation and Samarasinghe Eye Hospital are independent organisations. We raise and allocate charitable funding while our healthcare partners deliver the professional care our patients need.
Expanding Access for the Future
Our goal is to build a nationwide network of accessible eye care. We continue to expand our outreach programmes, school screenings, spectacle support and surgical funding—reaching more communities and changing more lives.
“
Vision has the power to transform lives.
Together, we can ensure no one is left behind.
Help Us Bring Clearer Vision to More Communities
